Although the engineer had previously worked at Google – on the Google Play Games, Chrome OS and YouTube areas -, Charlie Lee is best known in the world of technology as the creator of Litecoin, “the most popular Bitcoin derivative”, like Coinbase describes it. “He layers on more mental horsepower here at Coinbase with his BS and Masters in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from MIT”, the announcement adds.
According to the company, a lot of people have already benefited from the work developed by Charlie Lee. All it takes is to “use Google Authenticator to secure a Coinbase account or Authy’s voice support feature to verify your phone number”.
